Ellen Kensington Hotel in London will open in early summer 2024. It marks an exciting addition to the city’s luxury boutique hospitality scene. Located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, this refurbished hotel will offer a unique blend of classic English design with subtle touches of Chinoiserie. The result will be a luxurious and cultural atmosphere.
The hotel is housed in five interconnected Victorian townhouses. These have undergone extensive renovations to preserve and enhance their historical features. High ceilings and bay box sash windows will still be present, while modern luxury amenities will incorporate the design. The KOP Group, which has a track record of transforming historic properties into high-end, multifunctional spaces, managed the design and conceptualization of Ellen Kensington in-house.
Ellen Kensington will feature 105 beautifully appointed rooms and suites, with more than half overlooking the historic Barkston Gardens. The hotel’s facilities are set to include a welcoming reception and lounge area, a destination bar, and a pan-Asian restaurant with a private terrace. Additionally, the hotel will provide a gym, wellness treatment rooms, and self-operated laundry facilities.
The hotel also pays tribute to Dame Ellen Terry, a renowned Victorian-era British actress. Its location offers guests easy access to London’s cultural institutions, such as the Natural History Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, and Royal Albert Hall, and the green spaces of Holland Park and Kensington Gardens.
Ellen Kensington promises to be more than a place to stay; it aims to be a destination that combines luxury and historical charm.
