Rex Rooms Club in London launches in March 2025 at 151 Kings Road. From fashion designer and exclusive club founder Marc Burton, together with Piers Adam and Marc Cecil, comes Chelsea’s most eagerly anticipated nightspot catering to the A-list crowd.
The club’s address has a storied past, once home to the legendary 151 Club, affectionately known as “One Five One.” This venue was a staple in Chelsea’s nightlife, frequented by notable personalities such as Jerry Hall, Bob Geldof, and even royal family members, including Prince William and Prince Harry. Following its closure after the COVID-19 lockdowns, the space remained dormant until the announcement of The Rex Rooms. A dynamic trio spearheads the revival: Marc Jacques Burton, renowned for his MJB fashion label; Piers Adam, a veteran nightlife entrepreneur; and financier Mark Cecil. Their combined vision aims to restore the spirit of King’s Road’s nocturnal allure.
Drawing inspiration from the surrealist works of Salvador Dalí and the organic forms of Antoni Gaudí, The Rex Rooms club London offers an immersive and avant-garde environment. The interior features melting mirror frames, spider web motifs, and hand-carved wooden walls with fluid, curvilinear designs. This creates a dreamlike atmosphere. The space is divided into two distinct areas: a speakeasy lounge for relaxed socializing and the exclusive “King’s 1942 Room,” where privacy is paramount. Here, using phones and taking selfies is discouraged from maintaining an intimate ambience.
The club is open from 7 p.m. until the early hours of the morning. The venue plans to host an eclectic range of live performances, from emerging local artists to internationally acclaimed acts. The innovative cocktail menu features drinks combining artistry with wellness. Notable offerings include the “Enchanted Shrooms.” It blends Don Julio 1942 tequila with lion’s mane extract, honey, and pineapple, served in a hand-carved mushroom sculpture. Another highlight is the “PDA,” a mix of Perrier-Jouët rosé champagne, cassis, framboise, and Cîroc vodka. The cocktail comes presented in a vessel inspired by Dalí’s iconic lips sofa.
A night at The Rex Rooms club London promises an unparalleled experience that transcends traditional clubbing. The curated spaces encourage genuine connections, free from the distractions of modern technology, particularly in the King’s 1942 Room.
