The Aqua restaurant group was formed eighteen years ago and from then has proven itself by its highly rated restaurants including the exclusively divine Aqua Kyoto. Being one of 25 venues stretching from Hong Kong, London and Beijing it does nothing but capture the exotic flavours of the Japanese Cuisine. Situated on Argyll Street in the heart of West London you’ll find nothing but the freshest sourced food with decoration that beholds its reputation through the simplicity of the designs, vivid colours from the flowers and arrange of different foods. You first enter the downstairs reception which hides the secrecy of what the restaurant has to offer leaving your mind to its full imagination of what to expect.
Directed into the lift you are whisked up to the 5th floor of the building where you enter Aqua Kyoto. Your surroundings places you in Japan with its red and gold décor setting a cool atmosphere. The music around and the bustling of the restaurant, along with the chatter of the customers sets the tone warmly. The restaurant seats over 100 guests and you can look up and be bewildered by the beauty of the red oriental lantern situated between the sushi bar and the Robata grill. The seating arrangements are very broad starting from an intimate table for two or a big circular table seating up to ten guests making it the perfect family dining experience. You also have the choice to sit at the Sushi bar for the ultimate show as you watch your food first hand being cooked for you witnessing every detail of the art being put together.
The Private Dining experience puts you and your guests in a glass box blocking out all of the distractions of the restaurant whilst at the same time still being able to enjoy the ambience of the restaurant. If you were fancying a Friday night cocktail or wanted to spend your warm summer evenings outside; the Kyoto Outside bar can offer all of this with its golden lit balcony terrace and bar. Being on the 5th floor gives you the breathtakingly beautiful sights of all over London enhancing your Aqua Kyoto experience as you sip the night way with your Lychee Martini. Being open throughout the best parts of the day the menu offers nothing but the finest range of Japanese Cuisine.
The Ukiyo Brunch goes by the motto of ‘Indulge or Purity’ giving the best of both worlds such as ‘Rokku Shurinpu Tenpura’ (Rock shrimp tempura, chili garlic sauce and seaweed’ or ‘Maguro Takosu’ (Crunchy tuna taco, yuzu, wasabi, avocado and herbs.) Not forgetting the offer of being bottomless with unlimited bubbles or Bellini’s! The dinner menu continues to carry on the quality of the food through dishes highly recommended such as ‘Tezukuri Kani yakisoba’ (King crab), ‘Ise ebi burakku beenzu miso’(Lobster with black bean miso) and the Chilean Sea Bass. The quality of the seafood is something noticed by everyone. You can feast till your heart’s content and still have just the right amount of room or desert! Choosing which cocktail you are going to indulge in to rinse your meal down with is simply telling the barman your preferred base and guilty pleasure and him conducting you one of the restaurants own ‘Aqua Classics’ or ‘Aqua Signature’ cocktails to set your taste buds on a journey of their own.
