Galvin Hop Restaurant London

Galvin Hop

Galvin hop places itself on Spital Square standing proud next to its Michelin starred brother; Galvin La Chapelle. The once Gastro pub offers fresh craft beers and an authentic gourmet pub dining experience. Previously known as ‘Galvins Cafe A Vin’ the Galvin brothers decided to reinvent it into the luxurious bistro Galvin Hop.

Located in Spitalfields makes it the perfect place for a nice catch-up after work over a artisan beer or for the hungry shoppers to stop by and fill up with some gourmet style food. The restaurant even has a serving hatch that opens out onto the street for the punters that just don’t have time to stop where you can tuck into Galbin Pop’s ‘Hotodg De Luxe’ with an assortment of their very own truffle mustards. The designers paid close attention when creating the bistro to enhance the pub luxe feel with timber tiling lacing the ceiling and bronze low-lit beer tanks offering fresh Pilsner unpasteurised beer. It takes your normal pub and add the glamour of London. The new makeover adds colour to the interior with bright chairs and stylistic photos hung up on the wall adding a are-deco feel with large windows to allow natural light in giving the restaurant that extra alive feeling.

The Galvin brothers have always strived to create a fine -dining experience for every individual whether it be a three course meal or just a desert. They aim to source the freshest produce worldwide which is shown through the quality of there cooking. They even used to sleep overnight in their first restaurant to ensure they’d have access to the best ingredients the moment they became available. Popular dishes include the chorizo croquettes with saffron aioli served as a starter and Flat iron steak with portobello mushrooms and Bearnaise sauce. The menu for all parts of the day is petite showing that everything is freshly cooked but still with enough choice to know exactly what you want.

The attraction of the unpasteurised Pilsner beer attracts a wide audience of people with the beer imported weekly from the Czech republic and the closest way to experience it all freshly brewed. Also on tap is an array of boutique wines that are kept in sealed kegs meaning the wine can continue to mature avoiding any cork taint and and oxidizing that can be because from leaving a bottle open ! .

Whether you’re stopping for a quick spot of lunch, or heading down for an evening meal, the quality of service and food presented in a relaxed environment ensures your return to Galvin Hop.
