Step inside The Lanesborough Club & Spa in London and you’re instantly transported into one of the city’s most opulent wellness spaces. Tucked beneath the iconic Lanesborough Hotel at Hyde Park Corner, this private members’ club is more than just a spa—it’s a lifestyle sanctuary where luxury, heritage, and cutting-edge wellbeing converge. It’s fair to say that few clubs in the city compare in terms of atmosphere, elegance, or sheer attention to detail.
The building itself is steeped in history. Initially designed in the early 19th century by William Wilkins—the architect behind the National Gallery—the hotel underwent a renovation under the Oetker Collection. The Club & Spa, opened in 2017, was designed by 1508 London. It captures both the grandeur of its neoclassical bones and the modern sensibility of a world-class wellness retreat.
Inside, the 18,000-square-foot space feels calming, with muted palettes, marble finishes, and plush furnishings. There’s a gym fitted with Technogym Artis equipment, personal training suites, a hydrotherapy pool, saunas, steam rooms, and a spa. Treatments range from restorative massages to high-performance facials. They utilise Tata Harper and ila products, alongside biohacking offerings such as cryotherapy and infrared therapy. You can also unwind in the Club & Restaurant, a health-conscious dining room that serves seasonal dishes and house-pressed juices.
Membership comes with a hefty price tag. It starts at £6,600 annually, with a £2,000 joining fee (as reported by The Times). However, it’s worth every penny if you’re serious about wellness. Perks include complimentary personal training sessions, wellness consultations, spa treatments, and access to members-only events. Members also get preferred rates across the hotel, including dining at the Michelin-star Celeste and overnight stays. They offer categories like Full, Joint, Under 30s, and Overseas to suit different lifestyles.
The place is never crowded or flashy—just quietly, immaculately luxurious. Whether you’re spending the morning with your trainer, slipping into the sauna after a meeting, or enjoying a long lunch overlooking Hyde Park, everything about the club is designed to soothe and elevate.

You’d expect a Michelin-starred chef with his CV to be all puffed up with self-importance, but not Sameer. He’s not the type to humble brag with his hand earnestly resting on his chest, telling you ‘how grateful and humbled’ he is in that way that makes you cringe. No, […]

The rub is that you must be a member to even order a starter, and it catered for the Olympics, US presidents and some of the most powerful people […]
